Counseling

The counseling department at Community School is aligned with the American School of Counselors Association National Standards and the Beaverton School District Board Policy for counseling programs. Included in this is a standards-based program which assists all students to achieve success in school and to develop into contributing members of our society. This is implemented through the competency domains of academic, career, and personal/social development. As counselors, we continuously assess our stents' needs, identify the barriers and obstacles that may be hindering student success, and generate efforts to eliminate these barriers.

We are committed to encouraging positive peer interactions, helping students enhance their learning, and facilitating post high school success.

We establish a safe, supportive, positive environment, with respect and appreciation for others. In addition, the counselors at Community School advocate for each student to be a lifelong learner, and discover and reach their maximum potential.
