Meetings are on Thursdays in the Library. Talk to Osheyana.
Participants will sign agreements that acknowledge their dedication to showing up and doing the work, as well as have a parent sign the permission forms that acknowledge the lack of transportation after school and the need for parents to provide transportation or grant permission to use TriMet after school.
We understand that not all students can participate after school, so if there is someone who is truly interested but feels that the after-school time frame will be a barrier to them, please send them to chat with me and we can figure out how to support their contributions.
There is also a possibility of earning credit for students who participate throughout the entire project. We are still waiting for more information about this opportunity.
In this meeting we will:
Review vocabulary we'll use for the yearbook
Go over (& practice) how to submit work in our Canvas course
Discuss themes for the year and elements of other yearbooks that we are inspired by
Come up with the beginnings of a social contract for our yearbook club
We are excited to announce the launching the Yearbook Club so we can deliver a yearbook for our students this 2024/25 school year. This will be a student club, advised by Osheyana.
The Club will meet every Friday during Focus in the library.
